With Duncan Hines snack size dessert mixes hitting the shelves recently, I can only ask one question: Why has no one done this before??
Not only is this great for the single girl (or guy) who doesn’t want to be tempted by an entire PAN of brownies/cookies/cupcakes laying around- it’s also great for getting creative.
Grab a few different flavors of the cake mixes and swirl them together for an easy marble cake without having to make two full cakes.
Another option? Chocolate chip cookie brownies like the ones you see here. With your Duncan Hines Snack Size Mixes, these couldn’t be easier to make.
Prepare your brownie mix first, according to the instructions on the box, then layer it in the pan and bake for about 15 minutes.
While that’s in the oven, prepare your cookie mix according to the instructions in the box. After 15 minutes, pull out the brownies and drop cookie dough mix by the tablespoon evenly over the top of your half baked brownies.
Put it all back in the oven for 10-15 minutes (until toothpick comes out clean) and that’s it!
These were so good, I didn’t even have the chance to take a picture before they were half gone! Give these mini mixes a try and tell me all about your own creative concoctions.
Stay tuned next week, we’ll be talking more about baking mixes- Café du Monde Beignets anyone??
Until next time,
Happy Baking!
